SMART IT People has a full time salaried (base + quarterly bonuses + commission) opportunity for an experienced Sales Executive to join our client's Corporate Sales team in Raleigh, NC. This has 6 figure first year earnings possibility.
Education and/or Experience:
3-5 years B2B sales/business experience in the commercial interiors industry.
25-50% local travel
BSBA degree from an accredited University preferred.
Proven organizational and follow-through skills required.
Proven sales and target marketing skills required.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required.
This is a creative sales position managing opportunities for the sale of commercial furniture products and services in a defined territory or assigned vertical market.
Drives strategy to identify, engage, win and maintain business from competitive corporate accounts. The Corporate Sales Executive is responsible for all aspects of the selling process including networking, prospecting, lead generation, opportunity management , quote and order management and closing business. Accounts won will remain the responsibility of the Corporate Sales Executive for all future business. Relationship management, customer service and sales volume generated are the cornerstones to success for the position.
Plan, develop and implement sales and marketing strategies to drive the revenue and profit growth of the corporate division.
Target corporate accounts to develop and win business.
Document sales strategies and account plans for each target account.
Establish monthly, quarterly and yearly revenue and profit goals.
Work with Strategic Sales and Design team to propose winning solutions.
Manage all customer expectations and resolve customer issues expediently.
Assist in developing the group's strategic vision and direction.
Assist with the department's operating processes and procedures result in excellent customer service.
Understand and maintain customer contracts/ guidelines. Keep team members updated on contracts.
Establish personal relationships with key customers.
Establish strong relationships with customers in the Triangle area.
Develop strong relationships with sales staff and owners.
Track key accounts and sales activities in the CRM.
Demonstrate initiative by prospecting and closing sales leads
Consistently exceed customer expectations by adding real value at each phase of the sale, by being accountable to customers, and by making and keeping commitments.
Provide a consultative approach to selling by working to understand the customer's critical business needs and by delivering appropriate solutions with a sense of purpose and urgency.
Teamwork and cooperation with other departments.
Achieve established revenue and profit goals.
High level of energy, working overtime as needed to support the customer and staff.
Earn confidence of sales force.
Establish target accounts and develop plan to secure business.

Knowledge: Prospecting, probing, influencing, closing. Comfortable with technology, at ease with C-level executives, consultative selling, creating and delivering presentations, familiar with contracts and proposals. Knowledge of contract furniture industry and related products, applications, and design concepts preferred.
