SMART IT People has an exciting opportunity for a VP, Public Relations & Corporate Affairs for our client in Greensboro, NC. This is a highly compensated position with a generous base salary + bonus + car allowance. 

We are looking for a strong leader who can proactively develop and execute on strategies to promote and enhance the reputation of our client brands across a variety of external stakeholders, via multiple channels. Work cross-functionally with leaders across the organization to align innovative external messaging with business and brand objectives. Lead a dedicated team working with public/media relations; corporate communications and issue management; corporate social responsibility; community relations; content/message/story development; and event management.

B.S./B.A. in communications or related field of study, or comparable experience

Job description:

Develop and drive the public relations and corporate communications strategy for our client, including traditional/social media, website, content development, and issue management
Create, plan and execute media/community events, campaigns, and sponsorships that innovatively position our client brands
Act as corporate spokesperson
Provide communications counsel to senior leadership
Coordinate Corporate Social Responsibility activities for our client
Develop and monitor corporate citizenship programs and charitable contribution programs
Oversee Crisis Management Plan and associated updates/communications
Manage corporate events
